Under recent circumstances, the allegations against officer Kasun are well founded, given how recent criminal activity has become even harder to track, and sting operations have begun to fail. We have suspected an inside man for a reasonable amount of time, but given our recent investigations into officer Kasun's past, we now have a face and a name to put to our suspect. Male, twenty-three years of age, and no personal run ins with the law, Zlatan was a smart man to be put through the police academy, and we had no reason to suspect him of any affiliation with organized crime. However, in the recent months, we in internal affairs began investigating officers from the department over allegations of corruption, and have found that officer Kasun himself has no direct ties to the Serbian Mafia, but does have indirect connections through his father. Recent interrogations from arrested gopniks has revealed an increase of money laundering and smuggling through official capacity, which further indicts Zlatan of crimes. Under the circumstances, we have motive and opportunity, but at the moment we don't have the means of which to make our charges stick. At our current status, we recommend sitting by and waiting for more inclusive evidence to fully indict officer Kasun of all charges.

We've finally got a breakthrough in our case. D.N.A analysis of a hair follicle found in a captured red sand shipment finally gives us a concrete piece of evidence on officer Kasun. We're currently waiting on a warrant to be approved so that we can search his home and make an arrest.

Zlatan Kasun had left Earth before the warrant had even been fully processed. We checked credit transactions on his bank accounts and found that he bought transport off-planet at 2200 local time. Manifest of the transport shows that it was a freighter bringing arms to the Atticus Traverse, meaning that Kasun has fully left not only our jurisdiction, but that of the Alliance as well. Even if we moved for an extradition right now, the likelihood of it being approved are sitting between zero and point one. I'm considering this case closed, as we have no means to prosecute Kasun as it stands now, and he has left his own sphere of influence. Our hopes now is that Serbian organized crime falls back down to manageable levels.
