Chapter One: Birth
Jason McCal was born on the 7th of January 2150 on Earth, Ireland. He was the youngest of his family. His brother, David McCal, was the oldest being at least two years older than his sister and seven years older than Jason himself. His sister, Eilís McCal, was the second oldest. For Jason, he never really got along with either of them, his brother was all about women so he claimed he never had any time to spend with Jason. His sister, was close enough to the same thing, only Eilís was all about doing good, spending time with friends, getting a boyfriend and all the usual stuff. But it never really bothered Jason as he tended to spend time with his father, Rónán McCal, as when Jason was only seven, Rónán would take him to a small forest to hunt rodents. This was the first time Jason had ever used a rifle. His mother, Eimear McCal on the other hand never really spent that much time with Jason, she was usually too busy with work to spend time with her family. This ended up leading to a split in the family years later.
Chapter Two: Teenage years
When Jason happened to be thirteen years old, it was the year his parents split up. For Dáithí, being twenty years old at this time already settled down, had a family and a decent job. For Eilís, she was eighteen years old, so she decided to live with their mother instead, but was soon ready to move out herself. So for Jason he lived with his father. But in order to provide for him, he had to work, so Jason was practically alone for the most of his teenage years with very little friends. Although throughout his teenage years he did have a fascination with the galaxy, the stars, and pretty much anything that wasn't Earth.
Chapter Three: Military life
Eighteen years old and ready to serve the Alliance. Jason believed he was as ready as he ever could be. He went through his boot camp training and saw through the brutal training. With that he was assigned to the 6th Marine division, this is the division that he would stay with for many years of his career and was also the division where he got acquainted with sniper rifles, most commonly the M-92 Mantis. Throughout this career, he gained valuable experience and even moved up the chain of command quite well, so well in fact that he became apart of the officer corps. It wasn't until numerous years later, Jason signed himself up for the N-School as it was commonly known as.
Sub-chapter: N7 Interplanetary Combatives Training course
Jason, who thought he was an exemplary sniper knew that he would go into close quarter combat at some point or at least medium range. So he decided that his specially was in long range combat as a soldier. So as he was in the Interplanetary Combatives Academy or the Vila Military in Rio de Janeiro, he began to take up training as a Destroyer Soldier along with added sniper rifle training. It was months of gruelling training with twenty hours a day training and leading combat patrols through hostile rich environments and terrain. The training wasn't anything like he had experienced before, the first phase of six was harrowing but exhilarating, and eventually, through hard work, determination and being an exemplary soldier, he passed the first phase and was awarded the designation of N1 while also being invited back to continue. More and more time went by as he kept propelling himself through the other phases of training. After all those gruelling days, those demanding months and that relentless year, he finished real life combat scenario and the N6 course and was awarded the very famous N7 designation. Possibly the proudest moment of Jason’s life, he graduated as a Destroyer Soldier with a Sniper rifle as his main rifle and was assigned to the 103rd Marine Division in the year 2181.
Chapter Four: The downfall of a Soldier
Within a year later, Jason slowly had the horrors of fighting affect his health. This came around due to the missions he went on, these missions resulted in the loss of some of his close friends and the gaining of immoral views on the galaxy, even picking up a few vices. These vices to him as a Catholic were Dante's seven deadly Vices, some of them are; Avarice and anger then gluttony only for the simple fact that Jason became an seemingly heavy drinker. Further down the line, over the course of another year, Jason was discharged from service, weeks prior to the Geth attack on the Citadel, with the discharge Jason decided to grab whatever gear he could before double timing his ass out of the base, unsure if he was being followed, Jason placed his gear into a large rucksack and took refuge on a cargo ship to somewhere he wasn't familiar with. A few days later, Jason was dropped off in the scum ridden area of Hiromi City. Anxious for work, Jason went around, doing odd jobs for people before the Yoshida Syndicate approached him with a job offer. Even though he knew the group was bad luck, he accepted the job offer and was sent to live aboard the cargo ship known as the Geisha.
