Character Name: Lilaxos Demim
Character Race: Turian
Why did you choose this race?: I chose this race because I love playing Turian characters and also because I used to play Lilaxos in past MERP servers. I played her well and she was never really OP in any circumstances. Turian characters always seem to have the best background due to their militaristic nature.
Age: 28
What can your character do for our ship? (Muscle, Maintenance, Triggerman, Comedic Act, etc.): She is suited for standard combat, really the muscle due to her somewhat potent biotic abilities and her time in the Cabal.
Character Equipment: 1x Phaeston Rifle, Turian Cabal Armor
Moral Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Strengths:
• Capable in battle tactics and standard combat.
• Semi-potent Biotics, L2 implants, skilled biotic skills
• Fit in build and fitness due to rigorous military training'
• Even though she changed career paths, she maintains her military-like rigor in personality and overall appearance when on the job. (Hence the issue with social skills) Though she can open up if she gets to know the person.
Not Strength or Weakness:
• She can be soft-hearted at times which could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on the situation, she cares for the crew like her own squad.
• She can be difficult to convince once her mind is set on a task.
Weaknesses:
• She is only capable of using her biotics for a short period of time due to complications with her implant that cannot be fixed (aka overheating implant).
• She cares far too much for those in her team, to the point she might be irrational at times
• She is a terrible cook, everything she touches turns to burnt ashes (in a cooking sense)
• Her social skills are lacking at times which can lead to lack of cohesiveness with the rest of the team, however in combat, she gets along with everyone just fine.
Character Backstory a.ka. how or why are you here (One paragraph minimum, be creative!):
Lilaxos was born in 2155. At a very young age she was found to have potent biotic abilities.This might have been due to both her parents working and living near an area with an active eezo mine (that was running at the time). Due to the Turian Military strategy at the time, she was taken from her home and put into the Turian Cabal program where she was fitted with an L2 implant then was taught and trained from the ground up in combat, biotics and tactics. She was left isolated frequently which lead to her lacking social skills that many others were raised with. Unfortunately, the segregation of the main chunk of the military and the Cabal’s didn’t help. She was treated second rate by the rest of the pack due to her biotic nature. This lead to her being rather stingy when it came to dealing with regular troops as she could not tell if they’d insult or thank her for her work.
Otherwise, she served in the military doing small-time special operations until she ended up gaining enough experience to the point she was leading smaller squads on recon missions and various other smaller missions involving defense and information gathering. Lilaxos oddly excelled in this role, given her social inadequacies, she did extremely well throughout the length of her role, gaining decent commendations throughout the span of her military career.
Eventually came the day, where she was leading a mission which resulted in a major ambush from multiple enemy forces. Explosives went off on their lines, killing off numerous troops that she looked after, taking herself along with it, resulting in her being gravely injured. She was blasted back where the main troop was still marching forward. She was pulled back, but the rest of her troop was abandoned. Lilaxos spent the next year in therapy, healing and re-training herself. She wasn't nearly as good but managed to hold her own, however, this wasn't enough for the Turian military which had given up with her and moved on, giving her an "honorable" discharge, much to her disdain. The Hierarchy just tossed her aside due to her injuries and she held a rather strong dislike of the current hierarchy system due to this. At this point she had tried her best to remain a model soldier but beyond this she gave up, as long as there was money in her pocket and something to do, she'd take anything.
For the next while, she spent most of her time looking for work, trying to find a way to keep herself occupied, looking at both good and bad work. She eventually found herself on the Geisha, was it just a matter of choice? Not really. The pay was good so she took it and that was the end of it. Lilaxos knew whatever was ahead of her was going to be one wild ride.
